This document represents a strategic community vision for the development of civil society organizations in promoting institutional sustainability, confronting environmental challenges, and enhancing the role of civil society organizations in various sustainable development paths. This vision was formulated with the participation of more than 80 stakeholder participants and under the auspices of the Ministry of Social Solidarity in Egypt.

This vision seeks to draw a road map for all parties concerned with developing civil society in Egypt, as the number of civil society organizations in Egypt is about 38 thousand organizations, varying in their activities and roles. Developmental. This document sets a practical framework aimed at raising the efficiency of these organizations, enhancing their ability to carry out sustainable institutional work, and achieving the required development impact in various fields, in line with the country’s priorities and the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda. The importance of this document comes at a time when the Egyptian state calls for the solidarity of all those concerned with development and community development, from government agencies, civil society organizations, and the private sector, in order to build a participatory development model based on good governance, transparency, accountability, and social innovation, in a way that enables civil society to play its role as a main driver in improving the quality of life, achieving social justice, and enhancing societal stability.
